Unicillin 300mg/ ml suspension for Injection

Composition:

Each 1 ml contains:
Procaine Penicillin ……………………. 300 mg
Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate …… 1 mg

Indications:

Used for treatment of systemic infections ex. Bacterial pneumonia (Shipping fever) in cattle and sheep caused by Pateuerella multocida.

Dosage and administration:

The recommended dose is 8 ml per 100 kg bodyweight i.e. 24 mg per kg bodyweight.
For intramuscular administration only.
The dose should be given once daily for up to 3 consecutive days.
- Cattle: 8.0 ml / 100 kg
- Calf: 4.0 ml / 50 kg
- Sheep: 2.0 ml / 25 kg
- Lamb: 0.8 ml / 10 kg
The maximum dose volume recommended at any one site for Cattle is 20 ml. Administer alternately on the left and right side.

Withdrawal time:

Cattle:
Milk: 72 hours
Meat: 7 days
Sheep:
Milk: Not to for use in lactating ewes producing milk for human consumption.
Meat: 7 days
