Ultrafenicol 30 (Injection)

Composition Each 100 ml contains:

florfenicol 30 gm.

 

Dose

I/M injection.
The standard treatment is 20 mg / kg b.wt given by IM.injection once daily for 2 consecutive days (48 hours) .
1 ml of injectable solution / 15 kg b.wt. given by IM.injection once daily for
2 consecutive days (48 hours).

It's recommended to use a needle with 1.6 mm of diameter or above.

Indication

It's indicated for the treatment of Bovine respiratory disease (BRD) named as Shipping fever or Transient fever associated with florfenciol - sensitive bacteria.
It's highly effective against many G+ve and G-ve bacteria such as E.Coli, Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp, Pasterulla haemolytica, Pasteruella multocida and Haemophylic somnus and Corynebacterium spp.

Withdrawal time

 28 days.

Precautions

It may produce super infections by resistant – microorganisms as yeast and molds
Not recommended in pregnancy.

Contraindication

Not be administered in rearing calves and poultry.
Not to be used for the reproduction activities in male bovines.
Antagonist with penicillins, aminoglycosides and quinolones.

Side Effects

Transitory lack of appetite which is recovery after treatment suppression.

store in cool, dry place

at temperature less than 25o c
