Sulphaquine (W.S.P)

Composition Each 100 gm contains:

Sulphaquinoxaline sodium 26.8 gm.
(Equiv .to 25 gm sulphaquinoxaline base)

 

Dose

Oral route in drinking water
Chickens, Turkeys: 2 gm of the product / 10 kg b.wt in drinking water once daily for 3 successive days stop 2 days and continue the treatment for another 2 days.
( 2 gm of the product / liter of drinking water)
(Eq.to 50 mg Sulphaquinoxaline base /kg b.wt, 500 ppm)

Rabbits: 4 gm of the product / 10 kg b.wt in drinking water once daily for 3 successive days stop 2 days and continue the treatment for another 2 days.
( 4 gm of the product / liter of drinking water)
(Eq.to 100 mg Sulphaquinoxaline base /kg b.wt, 1000 ppm)

Indications
It's used for chickens, turkeys and rabbits in the treatment of enteric and caecal coccidiosis which cause by different type of Eimeria as : Eimeria tenella, Eimeria necatrix, Eimeria Acervulina.

Precautions

Not used for ruminants .
Not used for laying hens.

Withdrawal periods:

10 days before slaughtering .

Contraindication

Not used for ruminants .

Not to be used in animals suffering from renal failure.
Vit B complex, PABA and related compounds are antagonists to Sulphonamides
Amprolium likely to combine with Sulphaquinoxaline for treating coccidiosis

Side Effects

Non in the recommended dose but prolonged use in high doses may produce
hypersensitivity and in-appetence.

Storage Conditions

store in cool, dry and dark place

at temperature less than 25o c
