Spiraplex W.S.P

Composition Each 100 gm contains:

Colistin Sulphate: 3 gm

(Equiv. to 2.42 gm colistin base)
Spiramycin adipic acid: 21.9 gm
(Equiv. to 17.5 gm spiramycin base)

Dosage and administration

For Active Ingredients:
Poultry:
Colistin: 5 mg / kg body weight (eq. to 100.000 IU / kg Body wt.).
Spiramycin: 32 mg / kg body weight (eq. to 100.000 IU / kg Body wt.).
Calves and Lambs:
Colistin: 2-3 mg / kg body weight (eq. to 40.000 IU / kg Body wt.).
Spiramycin: 10-20 mg / kg body weight (eq. to 100.000 IU / kg Body wt.).
For the whole product:
Poultry:
1.5 – 2 gm / liter of drinking water for 3-5 days
Calves and Lambs:
1 gm / 10 kg Body. wt in drinking water for 3-5 days.

Indication

The combined drug therapy of colistin and spiramycin is useful in treatment of infectious disease due to g+ve organisms sensitive to spiramycin and colistin as:
(Mycoplasma, E.coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Streptococci, Staphylococci and Anaerobic bacteria in case of pneumonia, collibacillosis, infectious enteritis in calves and lambs and CRD in poultry).

Withdrawal

Poultry: 5 days.
Calves and lambs: 14 days.

Contraindication

- Do not use with chloramphenicol drugs.
- Do not use for layers.
- Do not use for adult large animals.
- Not be added via feed.

Side Effects

No side effects in the recommend dose.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry and dark place and keep in well-sealed container

at temperature less than 25o c

Keep out of the reach of children.
