Clomicin (W.S.P)

Composition Each 100 gm Contains:

Colistin sulfate        12.5 gm .
(Equ. to 250 MlUcolistinbase )

 

Dosage and administration

Soluble Powder to be used orally in drinking water.
Poultry 2 gm of the product / 5 liter drinking water.
(eq .100.000 IU colistin base / Kg Body wt).
Dissolved in drinking water and taken twice daily for 3-5 days.

Indications
It's active against g –ve bacteria .
It's used for treatment of diarrhea that caused by (Enterobacter , Klebsiella, Pasturella , E. Coli and Pseudomonas).

Withdrawal time
Poultry : one day after the last dose.

Contraindications
Don not use by injection route .
Don't use for layers.
Don not use for animals with hypersensitivity to polymixin antibiotics.

Side effects

Rare ,but may include nephrotoxicity and / or neurotaxic symptoms when given parentrally.

All symptoms are reversible and regress when dosing it stopped.

Storage conditions

Store in dry and dark place and keep in well-sealed container at temp. less than 25o c
Keep out  reach of the children.
