Flukazole (Oral suspension)

Composition Each 100 ml contains:

Triclabendazole 10 gm.

 

Indications

For treatment of fascioliasis at any age in ruminants, it has a strong and selective action against all stages of liver flukes aged 1-12 weeks in all ruminants.

Dose

Oral route by a drenching gun.
Cattle,Buffalo: 1.2 gm triclabendazole (12 ml of the product )/ 100 kg b.wt.
Sheep, Goats: 100 mg triclabendazole (1 ml of the product)/ 10 kg b.wt.
In heavy infestation: dose repeated after 8 – 10 weeks.
In dairy cows: treatment in the dry season.

Withdrawal time

Animal shouldn't be slaughtered for human consumption within 28 days of last treatment.

Precautions

Don't administer to animal producing milk for human consumption.
Shake well before use.
Clean drenching equipment before use.

Contraindications

The drug is not approved for use in lactating dairy cattle.

Not used in pregnant cows at first 45 days of gestation .

Side effects

It's well tolerated in Cattle &Sheep at dose of 200 mg / kg b.wt. There is no evidence of teratogenicity or embryotoxicity.

Storage conditions

Store in cool, dry and dark place

 at temperature less than 25o c
