Duocycline (Large Animal) Injection.

Duocycline LA is recommended in the treatment of a wide range of common systemic, respiratory and local infections caused by, or associated with, organisms sensitive to Oxytetracycline. Species: Cattle, Sheep and Pigs.

Composition: 

Duocycline LA is a 20% w/v injectable solution of 200 mg Oxytetracycline as Oxytetracycline dihydrate per ml, stabilized in an aqueous / solvent system.

Contra-Indications and Warnings
-This product should not be used in sheep producing milk for human consumption.
-Occasional allergic reactions do occur but these are rare.
-Use of tetracycline during the period of tooth development, including late pregnancy, may lead to tooth discolouration.
-Do not dilute Duocycline LA. Duocycline LA is well tolerated but, occasionally, a slight transient reaction may be observed at the injection site.
-This product should not be given intravenously.
-Not for use in horses, dogs and cats.

Recommended Withholding Period
-Milk should not be used for human consumption during treatment or for 8 days thereafter.
-Animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment or for 28 days thereafter.

Pharmaceutical Precautions

-Keep out of reach of children.
-Do not store above 25ºC.
-Protect from light.
-This product contains no preservative.
-Avoid contamination during use.
-Once the vial is broached use contents within 4 weeks.
-Wash hands after use.
-This product contains dimethylacetamide (DMAC) and care should be taken to -prevent absorption through the skin.
